Terms of Service
Terms for using Lensora.
These Terms govern the Lensora iOS app, website, on-device photography guidance, templates, account features, and related services.
01. Agreement and Company Information
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and LENSORA INC, a Delaware corporation ("Lensora," "we," "us," or "our"), governing your access to and use of the Lensora iOS application, lensora.ai, and related services (collectively, the "Services").
By downloading, accessing, creating an account for, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
If you use the Services for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization. “You” then includes that organization.
02. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old and must also meet any higher minimum age required in your country or region to use the Services and consent to the processing described in our Privacy Policy without parental authorization.
Lensora does not currently provide a parental-consent process. If you are below the applicable minimum age, you may not create an account or use the Services.
You may not use the Services if applicable law prohibits you from doing so or if we previously terminated your access for a serious violation.
03. Apple App Store Terms
These Terms are between you and Lensora, not Apple Inc. Apple is not responsible for the Services or their content. Your use of the iOS app must comply with the Apple Media Services Terms and any applicable App Store rules.
We grant you a limited, non-transferable license to use the iOS app on Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by Apple's Usage Rules, including permitted Family Sharing or volume-purchase use.
Lensora, not Apple, is responsible for maintenance and support, product claims, legal or regulatory claims, and intellectual-property claims concerning the Services, except to the extent applicable law or these Terms state otherwise.
If the iOS app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any, as required by Apple's rules. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this section and may enforce it against you after you accept these Terms.
04. The Services
Lensora is a creative photography companion offering camera tools, on-device scene and pose analysis, real-time shooting guidance, templates, presets, composition assistance, and related features.
The Services provide suggestions, not professional guarantees. Lighting, environment, device capability, subject movement, model limitations, and personal taste affect results.
Features may differ by device, operating-system version, country, account status, beta status, or release channel.
05. Your Account
Lensora currently uses Sign in with Apple. You must provide accurate profile information, protect access to your device and Apple account, and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access.
You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless caused by Lensora's failure to use reasonable security measures.
One person may not create accounts in bulk, impersonate another person, evade enforcement, or use another person's name or image without authority.
06. Limited License
Subject to these Terms, Lensora grants you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-sublicensable, and non-transferable license to install and use the Services for lawful personal or internal business photography.
This license does not transfer ownership of the app, templates, models, software, designs, or other Lensora materials.
07. Current Feature Availability
The current public version of Lensora is free. It contains no In-App Purchases, subscriptions, trials, paid feature unlocks, paid content, or access to digital features purchased outside the app.
StoreKit, subscription listeners, product loading, purchase-history checks, and subscription APIs do not start in the current public version. No payment or purchase obligation arises from using the current public version.
09. Your Content and Profile
You retain ownership of photos, videos, profile images, profile text, feedback attachments, and other material you provide ("User Content").
You grant Lensora a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, transmit, and display User Content solely as needed to provide, synchronize, secure, and support the Services and comply with law. This license ends when the relevant content or account is deleted, subject to reasonable technical backup cycles and legal retention.
You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed for User Content and that our permitted use will not violate another person's privacy, publicity, copyright, trademark, or other rights.
Lensora does not claim ownership of ordinary photos stored only on your device. Content you export or share outside Lensora is governed by your choices and the destination service.
10. On-Device AI and Photography Guidance
Lensora uses Apple Vision and Core ML models on your device to analyze camera previews or photos you deliberately submit to Scan. All current camera, Scan, face, body, pose, and composition analysis takes place on the device. Lensora does not send camera frames, Scan images, or face-analysis data to Lensora servers or any third-party AI service.
Lensora does not identify people, perform facial recognition, or create faceprints, facial templates, or biometric profiles. Face observations are transient and are used only for creative framing, pose, head-position, subject-distance, and composition guidance during the current analysis.
The guidance may be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, or unsuitable for a particular person, setting, device, or intended result. Do not rely on Lensora where inaccurate guidance could cause injury, property damage, unlawful conduct, or another serious consequence.
Lensora provides creative photography guidance only. It does not provide medical, identity, biometric, or safety advice and does not guarantee aesthetic, professional, commercial, or social-media outcomes. You control the camera, environment, subject consent, and final image.
11. Acceptable Use
You may not use or attempt to use the Services to:
- Violate law or another person's privacy, publicity, intellectual-property, contractual, or other rights.
- Photograph, record, harass, exploit, stalk, or endanger another person without legally required awareness or consent.
- Upload unlawful, abusive, deceptive, infringing, sexually exploitative, or malicious content.
- Impersonate another person, misrepresent affiliation, or use another person's identity or profile image without authority.
- Probe, bypass, disable, or interfere with authentication, security, rate limits, privacy controls, or service operation.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, copy, scrape, extract, or discover source code, models, templates, datasets, or non-public APIs except where applicable law expressly permits.
- Use bots, automation, or bulk access that burdens the Services or is not authorized in writing.
- Introduce malware, exploit vulnerabilities, access another user's account, or collect information about other users.
- Use Lensora materials or outputs to build or train a competing model, dataset, application, or template library without written permission.
12. Lensora Materials and Intellectual Property
The Services, including software, on-device models, templates, presets, sample images, graphics, animation, text, interface, selection and arrangement, trademarks, and branding, are owned by Lensora or its licensors and protected by law.
You may use templates and presets through the Services to create your own photos. You may not extract, resell, redistribute, publicly host, sublicense, or make standalone copies of Lensora materials unless we expressly permit it.
“Lensora,” associated logos, and product branding may not be used in a way that suggests endorsement, affiliation, or ownership without written permission.
13. Feedback
If you voluntarily send ideas, suggestions, or product feedback, you grant Lensora a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free right to use and incorporate the non-confidential feedback without compensation or attribution.
This feedback license does not give us ownership of personal photos or other attachments. Attachments remain governed by the limited User Content license and our Privacy Policy.
14. Third-Party Services
The Services may interoperate with Apple, PostHog, Cloudflare, email providers, websites, or other third-party services. Their own terms and privacy policies govern processing they control.
PostHog is not an AI service used for Lensora's photography guidance. PostHog, Inc. is used through PostHog US Cloud only after you affirmatively enable optional Analytics in Settings → Allow Analytics. PostHog does not receive camera frames, user photos or videos, original Scan images, face data, face bounding boxes, facial geometry, typed text, passwords, or Apple sign-in interfaces.
We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control, but this does not limit obligations that applicable law places on Lensora for providers acting on our behalf.
Third-party names and trademarks belong to their respective owners and do not imply sponsorship.
15. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy at https://lensora.ai/privacy explains how we process personal information and is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
If these Terms conflict with the Privacy Policy on a question about personal-information handling, the Privacy Policy controls for that question.
Optional Analytics is off by default and requires a separate affirmative choice in the app. Accepting these Terms or choosing Start Tutorial or Skip Now does not enable Analytics, initialize PostHog, or send analytics data.
16. Changes, Availability, and Updates
We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features to improve, secure, or operate the Services. We may require an app update for compatibility, security, or legal reasons.
We will provide reasonable notice when a change materially affects your legal rights, where required.
We do not guarantee that every feature, template, or integration will remain available indefinitely. Nothing in this section limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable consumer law.
17. Suspension, Termination, and Account Deletion
You may stop using Lensora at any time and may request account deletion through Profile → Settings → Account → Delete Account.
We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to investigate security threats, prevent harm, comply with law, or address a material breach of these Terms. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to appeal or cure.
We may terminate an account for a serious or repeated violation, fraud, unlawful conduct, danger to others, or use that materially threatens the Services.
After termination, the license granted to you ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive—including ownership, feedback, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute terms—remain effective.
18. Disclaimers
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." LENSORA DISCLAIMS IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not promise uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, permanent storage, compatibility with every device, or any particular photographic, aesthetic, commercial, or social-media result.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or consumer guarantee that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.
19. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LENSORA AND ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL, DATA, CONTENT, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LENSORA'S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID LENSORA FOR THE SERVICES DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY OR (B) USD $100.
These limits apply regardless of legal theory and even if a remedy fails its essential purpose, but they do not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or liability that applicable law cannot limit.
20. Your Responsibility for Claims
To the extent permitted by law, you will indemnify and hold Lensora harmless from third-party claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising directly from your unlawful User Content, your material breach of these Terms, or your intentional misuse of the Services.
This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim results from Lensora's own conduct, and it does not require an individual consumer to indemnify Lensora where prohibited by applicable law.
21. Mandatory Consumer Rights
These Terms do not limit rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be waived. If you are a consumer, you may have mandatory rights under the laws of your habitual residence, including conformity, cancellation, refund, or local forum rights.
Nothing in these Terms requires an EEA, UK, Canadian, Japanese, Korean, Taiwanese, or other consumer to give up the protection of mandatory local law.
22. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms and disputes arising from them are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, excluding conflict-of-laws rules.
Subject to mandatory consumer-law rights, the state and federal courts located in Delaware will have exclusive jurisdiction. If the law of your habitual residence gives you the right to bring or defend a consumer claim in your local courts, this clause does not take that right away.
Before filing a claim, you and Lensora agree to make a good-faith effort for 30 days to resolve it informally by written notice, unless urgent injunctive relief or applicable law makes that impracticable. These Terms do not require arbitration and do not waive participation in a class proceeding where such a waiver would otherwise be relevant.
23. Export and Legal Compliance
You represent that you are not located in a country or region subject to a comprehensive U.S. government embargo and are not listed on a U.S. government prohibited- or restricted-party list.
You must comply with applicable export controls, sanctions, local photography and recording laws, and third-party terms when using the Services.
24. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms for new features, legal requirements, security, or operational changes. We will post the revised Terms and update the Last Updated date.
If changes materially affect your rights, we will provide reasonable advance notice and request acceptance where required. Changes do not retroactively alter an already accrued claim unless law permits and you agree.
Your continued use after revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
25. General Terms
These Terms and the incorporated Privacy Policy are the entire agreement about the Services, except for additional terms clearly presented for a specific feature.
If a provision is unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum lawful extent and the remaining provisions remain effective. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. Lensora may assign them as part of a merger, reorganization, financing, or transfer of the Services, subject to applicable law.
Headings are for convenience. The words “including” and “such as” are not limiting. Electronic notices and acceptance may satisfy writing requirements where permitted.
